What you fill in

  1. Your nights per year

Split into paid campgrounds, free stays and host stays. Last year's receipts, not the dream trip.

  2. Your typical nightly rate

The math then uses your trips instead of a national average.

  3. Break-even nights

Annual fee divided by what you save per night, for five common memberships.

  4. The limits that shrink the saving

Night caps, weekday-only discounts, blackout dates, parks that take cash only.

  5. A renewal check

The date, the auto-renew price, and whether you used it enough last year.

  6. An overlap check

Discounts you may already be paying for inside another membership.

Why this one

  • Your numbers, not ours

A membership that pays for itself on a 70 dollar site can lose money on a 35 dollar site. The sheet is a worksheet for that reason.

  • Every price has a date

Prices move during the year. Each one shows where we read it and when, so you can tell how old our number is.

  • Nothing to buy

The worksheet is complete on its own. We also sell a longer planner, and the emails will say so plainly.

A rural campground loop road with a dozen RV sites among pines at sunrise.
Twelve sites, four networks, three price rules. That is the arithmetic the worksheet settles.

How the numbers are made

Every price and rule comes from the program's own page. We quote the link and the date we read it. The arithmetic is printed next to the answer, so you can check it rather than trust it.

What we store

What we collect
  • Your email address.
  • Which video sent you here: a short code from the link, for example L or S. Nothing else about you.
  • Our email provider, Kit (kit.com), records the signup time and what it needs to deliver and count emails, such as opens and clicks.
What we do with it

We use it to send the worksheet and our emails. We do not sell or share your address. Kit processes it for us on its servers in the United States. This page sets no cookies, loads nothing from other companies and has no trackers.
